A practical way into international trade

They make the products. You could help them
find their next market.

Manufacturers looking overseas need to know which distributors are worth approaching. Researching those companies, assessing their fit and opening the right conversations can be a service you charge for.

Know what to offer, who to approach and what to deliver.Build your skills on a complete practice assignment. No inventory to buy or shipments to finance.

The shape of one assignment

Turn overseas partner research into a paid service.

They have the product.
You help them find a route to market.

Picture a Portuguese towel maker considering the Netherlands. Before it spends time approaching distributors, it needs to know who serves hotels, who carries the right products and what remains unverified. That is a specific question you can build a service around.

The work behind the introduction

Finding names is only the beginning.
Knowing which ones matter is the work.

A manufacturer could collect a list of company names. The harder questions come next. Which ones serve the right customers? What supports that assessment? What should be checked before anyone spends time on a call?

An organised researcher can help answer those questions. You define a manageable assignment, investigate it properly and deliver findings the client can use. Start with one product, one market and one clear decision. That is a practical way to test this model.

What you learn to deliver

Give a client something worth paying for.

01

An offer with a defined finish line.

Choose a product and market. Agree the research question, what you will deliver, what is outside the scope and how the fee is paid.

02

Findings the client can follow.

Research candidate companies, record your sources and assess their fit. Show the reasons for retaining, holding or excluding each one.

03

A next step with the right people.

Present the findings. With permission, approach suitable candidates and coordinate introductions where both parties want a conversation.

The question that matters

“How do I find a manufacturer
who would pay me?”

Start with manufacturers whose products you can understand. Look for a relevant market question, find the person responsible for it and approach them with a specific reason to talk.

The Guide takes you through building a manufacturer prospect list, finding the right contact, writing outreach, running a discovery call and proposing a scoped assignment. Client acquisition is part of the method.

If you have no previous client work, begin with the fictional assignment. Use it to practise and prepare an honestly labelled sample of your approach. Build your credibility around the quality of your thinking and the clarity of your offer.

It takes research, outreach and follow-through. You get a sequence to practise instead of another open-ended idea.

Before you buy

The practical
questions.

Know what you are getting, how you use it and what the work involves.

How do I receive my files?

Checkout is handled by Whop. After a successful purchase, sign in to the same Whop account and open your Export Partner product. The private download area contains your ZIP and opening instructions. Guide buyers receive the complete core vault; Launch Kit buyers receive the full bundle, including the Guide and Partner Desk.

Do I need an existing trade network?

You can begin the lessons and fictional exercises without contacts. The course teaches how to find and approach manufacturers and research potential distributors. Building real relationships still takes work; the product does not supply clients or guarantee replies.

What service does this teach me to sell?

Defined research, candidate assessment and authorised introduction work for manufacturers exploring overseas distribution. It teaches how to agree a scope and fee for that service. It is not a promise of commissions from bulk commodity deals.

Is the Guide complete on its own?

Yes. The Guide contains the full core method, worked cases, exercises, checklists and outreach examples. The Launch Kit adds prepared working assets and Partner Desk. You do not need it to access essential lessons.

Is this a video course or coaching programme?

It is a written Obsidian course with practical exercises. The Launch Kit adds editable documents, a workbook, workflows and the local app. Video training, live coaching and done-for-you outreach are not included.

What do I need to open the material?

The course is plain Markdown in a linked Obsidian vault and needs no community plugins. The Launch Kit includes DOCX and XLSX files; its fee planner was checked in desktop Excel on macOS. Partner Desk requires Python 3.9+ and runs locally in a browser. macOS/Chromium is tested; mobile and other platforms are not certified.

Do I need to buy stock or finance shipments?

No inventory purchase is required for the service taught. You are providing research and coordination. Allow for learning, research, client acquisition and any external software costs; commercial risk and the possibility of not finding clients still exist.

Are the research kits real lead lists?

No. They provide source routes, search questions, fit checks and worked evidence to help you research. The example companies, correspondence and outcomes are fictional. You must find and verify current information for a live assignment.

Does the AI do the assignment for me?

The eight workflows give you prompts, authored examples and review guidance for defined tasks. You choose an external AI service if you use them; no API integration or subscription is included. You remain responsible for checking sources, confidentiality and outputs.

Will the 30-day roadmap get me a client?

The roadmap structures a trial of the method. It is not a client or income guarantee, and you can take longer. The practice assignment lets you build experience before deciding whether to pursue live work.

Start with one assignment.

You do not need to decide on a new career.
Decide to learn how the work is done.

The Guide gives you the full method and a complete fictional assignment to try it on. Work through it, see how you handle the research, and give yourself a clearer basis for the next step.
